An East Asian consumer electronics brand wanted to add a private label electric screwdriver set to its existing product range without investing in a completely new product development project.
The customer already sold chargers, power banks and digital accessories through crowdfunding, e-commerce and media channels. FIXBUD recommended our existing 68-in-1 Electric Precision Screwdriver Set as the base product, combining 64 precision bits, a 350mAh battery, 200 rpm speed and multiple electric torque settings.
68-in-1 Precision Electric Screwdriver Set
Rather than changing the core product structure, the project focused on turning a mature screwdriver model into a market-ready branded SKU. The first order was 1,000 sets, followed by repeat orders of around 1,000-1,500 sets every two to three months.
The customer wanted to expand beyond consumer electronics accessories and enter the precision repair tool category.
However, developing a new electric screwdriver from the ground up would have required more time, engineering work and tooling investment than the customer wanted for an initial product launch.
The 68-in-1 model already provided a practical configuration for smartphone repair, laptop maintenance, camera repair and small electronics servicing. This allowed the customer to focus on branding and channel preparation rather than redesigning the screwdriver itself.
The main requirement was therefore to create a private label screwdriver set that could fit naturally into the customer's existing product line and be launched across several online sales channels.
The product itself was already mature, but the customer operated across crowdfunding platforms, e-commerce stores and media-driven sales channels.
Each channel required consistent product information, packaging graphics, barcodes and labeling. The customer also needed a Japanese-language manual and clear product identification across individual packaging and shipping cartons.
The challenge was not product engineering. It was creating one standardized private-label version that could be used across multiple channels without repeatedly changing the physical product.
This made documentation, packaging consistency and SKU management more important than adding unnecessary product modifications.
FIXBUD kept the mature 68-in-1 product structure unchanged and focused only on the elements needed for market launch.
The product was adapted with a laser-marked logo, branded packaging, a Japanese manual, and channel-specific barcode and labeling information.
This approach allowed the customer to launch a new private label electric screwdriver SKU without investing in new tooling or unnecessary product redevelopment.
The first production order was 1,000 sets. After launch, the product generated stable repeat demand. The customer continued placing orders approximately every two to three months, with each repeat order ranging from 1,000 to 1,500 sets.
The project shows how FIXBUD can support consumer electronics brands that want to expand into precision repair tools without starting from a completely new design.
For brands with an established sales network, using a mature electric screwdriver platform can shorten product development, simplify SKU preparation and make it easier to test or expand a new repair tool category.
If you want to expand your electronics or tool range with a private label precision screwdriver set, FIXBUD can support product selection, branded packaging, manuals and market-specific labeling based on existing screwdriver platforms.
