Customer Type: Supermarket Retailer
Market: Middle East
Product: 27-in-1 Pen-Style Screwdriver
Sales Channel: Offline Retail
Final Packaging: Hanging Double-Blister Pack
A supermarket customer in the Middle East was interested in FIXBUD 27-in-1 pen-style screwdriver set for offline retail.
The existing packaging did not give shoppers a clear view of the product. More importantly, the screwdriver contains multiple built-in bits, so simply showing the handle did not communicate the full product configuration.
The customer wanted a package that would let shoppers see the screwdriver and its bit selection before purchase.
The packaging was redesigned with the screwdriver handle and bit section positioned separately from left to right.
This created a clearer visual presentation, but it also introduced a new requirement: each part needed to stay in its designated position during transportation and handling.
The blister structure was therefore adjusted to match the product dimensions and hold both sections securely.
The customer initially requested a heat-sealed ring to secure the blister package. However, this sealing method was not compatible with the available production process.
Rather than changing the entire packaging concept, an alternative reinforcement method was developed:
A staple was added at the top center of the package to help keep the blister securely closed during transportation and retail handling.
After several rounds of adjustment, the project moved to a hanging double-blister package. The final structure allowed:
● The screwdriver handle to remain clearly visible
● The built-in bit configuration to be displayed separately
● The product to stay securely positioned during transportation
● The package to hang directly on supermarket display fixtures
The customer reviewed the final sample and confirmed the packaging solution.
For this custom case, the packaging was not treated simply as an outer container.
The design had to answer a practical retail question:
How can a multi-function repair tool be understood quickly when it is hanging on a supermarket shelf?
Separating the handle and bit section made the product configuration easier to see, while the hanging double-blister structure turned the package itself into part of the retail display.
If you have an existing repair tool that needs better product visibility, shelf presentation, or packaging protection, FIXBUD can help develop a packaging solution around the product and your sales channel.
